

The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore offers a 6-year International MD Program starting with the academic year 2103-14.
The curriculum is designed to help students prepare the USMLE step 1 and step 2.
Students interested in US postgraduate training will be allowed to spend their final year abroad and take part in the pre-residency programs required for their future enrolment in US residencies. One of the most qualifying features of the Program is the full integration of basic and clinical sciences combined with moral and ethical issues as well as legal responsibilities, which are at the basis of the medical profession.

The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, on the initiative of the Faculty of Medicine “A. Gemelli” offers for the academic year 2012/2013 a second level Master’s course in “Pre-clinical and clinical drug development: technical-scientific, regulatory and ethical aspects”. The second level Master’s course lasts one academic year for a total of 60 credits, equal to 1500 hours.

HTA&M confronts questions regarding the implementation of research findings, the influence of health technologies on policymaking, changes in clinical behavior, and dissemination of appropriate information to patients and the population. In different countries around the world, innovative approaches to these issues are emerging. The program combines these innovative approaches with some “classic models” that have been the founding pillars of HTA&M research over the past twenty years. |
The Health Technology Assessment Unit (Unità di Valutazione delle Tecnologie), was established in 2001 at “Agostino Gemelli” University Hospital with the scope to introduce a scientific tool which is able to provide all the information required to hospital management and clinical practice. |
The National Observatory on Health Status in the Italian Regions (Osservatorio Nazionale sulla Salute nelle Regioni Italiane) is connected with the European Observatory for the Health Care system and is part of the network of the European Public Health Observatories with the attempt to give to the policy makers, both politicians and technician, scientific strictness tools, politically objectives and neutrals. |
